I need help grouping / ungrouping my Wi-Fi speakers

Use this page if you want to learn how to group or ungroup your Orbitsound Wi-Fi speakers.

What is grouping?

Orbitsound Wi-Fi offers the ability to group multiple speakers together, so you can play the same audio through more than one speaker simultaneously. You can create an unlimited amount of groups and have an unlimited amount of speakers in each group.

The grouping uses a slave / master system. So the 'slave' speaker will copy the audio signal from the 'master' speaker. This means that if you've got grouping set up, you will only be able to send audio to your 'master' speaker. The 'slaves' will simply copy this audio.

Grouping speakers together

In order to group speakers together, simply open the Orbitsound app, then press and hold the speaker you wish to add, drag it onto another speaker and release. After a few seconds, the grouping should show within the app. You can now listen to the same music through all speakers in the group and at different volumes. The process is the same for adding a speaker to an existing group, simply drag the speaker on to the existing group and release.

In order to play to your group, you need to play audio to the 'master' speaker.

Ungrouping speakers

In order to remove a speaker from a group, simply press and hold the speaker, drag it below the dotted line and release. The speaker will now enter solo mode and audio can be played to it individually.
