I have a SB60 sound bar with very distorted sound and crackling when dialogue and music is played. It is connected optically and I have changed the lead. I have tried connecting to a different TV but still the same . I have switched it off for over 12 hours as the manual suggests for a factory reset but no better. Any help would be welcome, as it is impossible to listen to.

Hi Chris,

Sounds like a dry joint. A repair/solder reflow or replacement may be your only options.
