My remote control isn't working properly
This article will help you if you are having issues with your Orbitsound remote control.
Changing the battery
Almost all remote control issues can be attributed to the battery. Obtain a new CR2032 battery and follow the instructions below to change the battery in your Orbitsound remote.
- Hold the remote upside down in your hand with the back facing you.
- Locate the crescent shape depression and place your left thumb into it.
- Push the small tab towards the larger tab and press up with your thumb to release the battery tray. You may want to use a pen or blunt object to help you with the tab.
- With the small tab pushed over, push the ridge with your thumb to reveal the battery tray.
- Remove the battery and dispose of safely.
- Install a new (CR2032) battery, taking care to put it in the same way. The remote will not work if the battery is reversed. The battery's side marked with a plus sign should be facing the rear of the remote control..
- Push the tray back into the remote until you feel a click as the tray locks in place.
Older remotes
If you have the old version of the remote control you can upgrade to the new remote should you wish to. The new remote is ergonomically designed and much more intuitive based on valuable customer feedback.
